Q: What is the name of your university?
A: Huaibei Normal University.
Q: Where is your university located?
A: It is located in Huaibei City, Anhui Province, P. R. China.
Q: What is the monthly salary for foreign teachers?
A: The monthly salary is 7000-9000 yuan (RMB) with an average yearly performance bonus of 5000 yuan offered before the end of a full one-year contract.
Q: Is airfare reimbursed? If so, how much and when?
A: Yes, whole of one-time round tickets and one is reimbursed by the end of the first semester, the other before leaving.
Q: Are accommodations provided for the teacher? What type (apartment/dormitory) and how far is it from the school?
A: Yes, a fully-furnished apartment of 60-70 m2 (with two bedrooms, one sitting room, one kitchen and one bathroom) is provided, the apartment is on campus with 8-10 minute walk to the classrooms. (for accommodation pictures see “accommodations for FTs” on the website)
Q: Will someone from the school pick the teacher up from the airport?
A: Yes.
Q: What is the closest airport to the school?
A: Guanyin Airport in Xuzhou City, Jiangsu Province which is about 80 km from Huaibei. Foreign teachers are supposed to fly from the place of departure to Pudong International Airport in Shanghai or the Capital International Airport in Beijing and then take an airplane or a high-speed train to Xuzhou from which they are picked up.
Q: What type of classes (oral, written) will the teacher be teaching?
A: Spoken English, English Listening, English Reading, English Writing.
Q: How old will the students be?
A: 18 - 23.
Q: How long is a teaching period?
A: 45 minutes.
Q: What time do classes start?
A: 8:00 in the morning and 2:30 (2:00 during wintertime) in the afternoon.

A: 11:40 in the morning and 6: 10 (5:40 during wintertime) in the afternoon.

A: Preparation time is up to different teachers, and office time is on temporary needs.
